Ingerman Smith LLP is pleased to announce that Michael Krauthamer has joined the firm’s Hauppauge office as a Partner.
Michael Krauthamer brings decades of experience in public sector labor relations to the firm providing counsel on all labor relations and employment issues, offering representation in collective bargaining, grievance arbitration, disciplinary proceedings, civil service matters, and all proceedings before the Public Employment Relations Board. Prior to joining Ingerman Smith, Mr. Krauthamer was a partner in a Long Island law firm, where he represented municipalities, including school districts, counties, towns, and villages, in all types of labor and employment matters. He then gained valuable insights as a labor relations specialist for the New York State United Teachers. This union-side experience allows him to benefit employers by effectively navigating complex issues and fostering clear communication in labor relations. He also served as a labor arbitrator, mediator, and hearing officer, and as counsel to the Suffolk County Public Employment Relations Board. Mr. Krauthamer earned his J.D. cum laude from Suffolk University School of Law.
“Having built a strong reputation representing labor unions, Mike brings a unique perspective and skill set to our education law practice. We are confident that his insights and advocacy will be an invaluable asset to our clients and our team. We’re pleased to welcome him to Ingerman Smith,” said Mary Anne Sadowski, Ingerman Smith’s Managing Partner.
