Providing Strategic Legal Solutions
Ingerman Smith, L.L.P., is the pre-eminent Education, General Municipal, and Labor Law firm in Long Island and throughout Westchester, Putnam, and Rockland counties. Our reputation is built on the strong foundation created in 1937 by Percy Ingerman and Bernard Smith when they established the Firm in the waterfront village of Northport in Long Island, New York. Ingerman Smith was quickly recognized for the legal expertise and strategic counsel the Firm provided to school districts, universities, and municipalities.
Sixty years later in 1997, the Firm expanded our practice into Westchester and Rockland Counties, to be closer to our clients within the local communities, and in 2002 our Firm opened an office in Mount Kisco, New York to best serve our growing client base. In 2005, we relocated our main office in Northport to Hauppauge, New York. In 2007 our Mount Kisco office moved to Harrison, New York.
