Steven A. Goodstadt

Partner

Steven Goodstadt is a partner concentrating his practice in general education law, and labor and employment matters. He provides daily advice and counsel on a range of general education issues, including student discipline, Open Meetings Law, Freedom of Information Law (FOIL) requests, residency disputes, and immunization issues. Mr. Goodstadt also advises on labor and employment issues, such as employee discipline matters under Education Law § 3020-a and New York Civil Service Law § 75, along with related investigations.

 

Prior to joining Ingerman Smith LLP, Mr. Goodstadt served as an Assistant County Attorney in the Suffolk County Office of Labor Relations. In that role, he addressed various issues involving labor and employment law and handled numerous disciplinary cases concerning civil service employees pursuant to New York State Civil Service Law § 75.

 

Mr. Goodstadt litigates on behalf of clients in both state and federal courts, as well as in alternative dispute resolution forums.
