
Neil M. Block
Partner
Neil Block has extensive experience across all facets of education law and labor and employment law. He represents school districts in state and federal court litigation, arbitrations, collective bargaining negotiations, staff disciplinary proceedings, matters before the Commissioner of Education, Public Employment Relations Board, New York State Division of Human Rights, and Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. Mr. Block provides day to day advice to school district clients on all aspects of education and labor and employment law and is a frequent lecturer of these laws.
Mr. Block is currently the Assistant Treasurer and former President of the New York State Association of School Attorneys. He has also been actively involved with the Suffolk County Bar Association, where he has served on the Board of Directors, Co-Chair of the Education Law Committee, Chairperson of the Municipal Law and Newly Admitted Attorneys Committees, and an Officer of the Suffolk Academy of Law.
Beyond his practice, Mr. Block has served as an adjunct professor at SUNY Old Westbury, teaching collective bargaining and labor arbitration, and is the Secretary of the Board of Directors of Theatre Three, a local community theatre in Port Jefferson, New York.
