David Kwee's practice focuses on civil litigation, special education, school district negligence defense, Article 78 judicial review proceedings, employment discrimination, constitutional challenges, commercial litigation, student disciplinary matters, and general education issues.
Mr. Kwee has litigated and tried cases in state and federal court. These cases involved employment discrimination, school district negligent supervision allegations, Child Victims Act actions, premises liability, motor vehicle negligence, construction accidents, sports injury claims, insurance coverage disputes, domestic relations, and commercial matters. He has also litigated and represented clients at oral argument before the Appellate Division and the United States Court of Appeals, Second Circuit. Mr. Kwee has experience representing school districts in Individuals with Disabilities Education Act administrative proceedings before Impartial Hearing Officers, and has represented clients in Civil Rights, negligence, and commercial matters through binding arbitration and non-binding mediation.
Mr. Kwee is a graduate of Johns Hopkins University and Villanova University School of Law. At Villanova, he served as Managing Editor of Outside Articles for the Villanova Sports and Entertainment Law Journal and Editor-in-Chief of the law school newspaper. Before attending college and law school in the United States, Mr. Kwee resided in the Netherlands and is fluent in Dutch.
