Christine Lobasso Sullivan specializes in litigation, where she has led teams defending clients in Child Victims Act cases. She has secured favorable settlements, negotiated significant contributions from insurance carriers, and obtained dismissals by motion in these matters. Ms. Sullivan also advises clients on special education, residency, insurance coverage, and public relations issues. In addition, Ms. Sullivan handles estate planning and estate administration matters for private clients of the firm.

 

Prior to joining Ingerman Smith, Ms. Sullivan spent eleven years in the private sector. In this role, she represented financial institutions in all aspects of civil litigation across state and federal courts. She also provided guidance to clients on local, state, and federal regulatory compliance. Additionally, while in the private sector, Ms. Sullivan accumulated experience in the areas of estate planning and administration.

 

Before entering the private sector, Ms. Sullivan served in the public sector. She began as a prosecutor at the Office of the Nassau County District Attorney, gaining trial experience in felony and misdemeanor cases. When promoted to the Special Investigations Bureau, she conducted grand jury investigations and prosecuted criminal frauds, public corruption, and white-collar crimes, including high-profile cases. Ms. Sullivan later became special trial counsel at the Nassau County Attorney’s office, representing Nassau County in civil litigation at all stages, including jury trials in both state and federal courts. Her practice areas there included negligence defense, civil rights litigation, employment matters, civil forfeitures, and tax certiorari.
