Carrie Anne Tondo is a Partner at Ingerman Smith, concentrating her practice in the areas of education, labor, construction, municipal, commercial, public finance, real property and energy law. She works closely with clients, offering practical legal guidance, conducting workshops, and providing support for preventative strategies, as well as for navigating complex legal and economic challenges.

Ms. Tondo has drafted, negotiated, and structured a broad range of commercial, real estate and municipal finance transactions for the Firm's clients.  She provides guidance on real property matters and their associated budgetary impacts.  She has extensive experience across all aspects of construction law, including public bidding, agreements with architects, engineers and construction managers, contractor agreements, claims prevention, bid protests, contractual disputes, contractor defaults, delay claims and surety claims. Her practice also encompasses complex commercial litigation, lien foreclosure actions, errors and omissions claims, regulatory compliance and environmental matters, including issues arising under the State Environmental Quality Review Act. She is highly knowledgeable in energy law as it applies to school districts and municipalities, advising clients on energy performance contracts and energy efficiency initiatives.

Ms. Tondo is a frequent speaker on legal issues related to public bidding, construction, real property matters, procurement, payments-in-lieu-of-taxes, energy savings and energy performance contracts, compliance, board governance and a wide range of other topics relevant to school districts and the education sector.
