Carrie Anne Tondo is a Partner at Ingerman Smith, concentrating her practice in education law, labor law, construction, municipal, commercial, public finance, and energy law. She works closely with clients, providing workshops, guidance, and support for preventative measures and navigating legal and economic challenges.
Ms. Tondo has drafted, negotiated, and structured commercial, real estate, and municipal financial transactions for the Firm's clients, and advises on real property matters and related budgetary impacts. She possesses extensive experience in all facets of construction law, including public bidding documents, architect and construction manager agreements, contractor agreements, claims prevention, bid protests, contractual disputes, defaults, delay claims, and surety claims. Her work also covers complex commercial litigation, lien foreclosure, errors and omissions claims, Department of Labor and Health proceedings, environmental matters, and compliance with regulations, labor law, and State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQRA). She is versed in energy law for school districts, assisting clients with energy performance contracts and savings initiatives. Ms. Tondo is a frequent lecturer on legal issues concerning public bidding, construction, real property, payments-in-lieu-of-taxes, procurement, energy savings, and other commercial matters.
Ms. Tondo has litigated on behalf of the Firm's clients in state and federal court, and in alternative dispute resolution forums.
