Mr. Clayton joined our Firm after serving as an Assistant District Attorney in Suffolk County for over eight years, including three in the Homicide Bureau.  Mr. Clayton is an outstanding litigator.  In his capacity as an Assistant District Attorney, Mr. Clayton successfully tried to verdict a wide variety of felonies including murder, armed robbery and rape and he is a two time recipient of the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Distinguished Trial Advocacy Award.  Mr. Clayton has concentrated on the representation of our school district clients in federal and state litigation, and administrative proceedings including Appeals to the Commissioner, Civil Service Law Section 75 discharge proceedings, Education Law Section 3020-a teacher disciplinary proceedings and in collective negotiations.
