Ms. Tondo has been with the Firm since graduating Hofstra University School of Law, where she was the Managing Editor of the Family Court Review. Ms. Tondo has primarily concentrated her practice in the areas of construction, municipal, commercial and general education law since joining the Firm in 2002. Ms. Tondo is experienced in all aspects of construction law matters, including preparation of public bidding documents, competitive bidding, contractual disputes and complex commercial litigation. She prepares, drafts and negotiates business transactions and agreements on behalf of our clients. Ms. Tondo also assists our municipal clients with health and privacy issues concerning compliance and implementation of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA).
Ms. Tondo is admitted to practice before the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York and the Courts of New York and Connecticut. She is a member of the American, New York State, Connecticut, Nassau and Suffolk Bar Associations and the Association of the Bar of the City of New York.
Ms. Tondo has been a frequent speaker on the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA). Her most recent speaking engagements include: “How to Become HIPAA & Cobra Compliant - Complying with HIPAA’s Security Rule,” at the New York State Bar Association Labor & Employment Law Section Fall Meeting 2004, in Cooperstown, New York. Ms. Tondo also spoke at the Association of School Business Officials Conference on "The Impact of HIPAA in the School District Setting" in June of 2003, and was a speaker for the Public School District Employers, Administrators, Employees and School Nurses concerning "HIPAA and Your School District" in 2003-2004.”
