Mr. Powers has been engaged in the practice of law for over eighteen years.  His area of concentration is litigation.  Mr. Powers served as an Assistant District Attorney for eleven years including four years in the Homicide Bureau.  In his capacity as an Assistant District Attorney, Mr. Powers successfully tried to verdict a wide variety of felonies including manslaughter and murder cases. Since joining the Firm, Mr. Powers has concentrated on the representation of our school district clients in matters before the Commissioner of Education, teacher disciplinary proceedings, employment discrimination and Civil Service Law Section 75 hearings. 

Mr. Powers is admitted to practice law in the U.S. District Courts Eastern and Southern Districts and in the Courts of the State of New York.
