Ms. Gibson joined our Firm after graduating from Hofstra University School of Law.  While at Hofstra, she was an Articles Editor of the Hofstra Labor & Employment Law Journal.  Her Note, entitled The Americans with Disabilities Act Protects Individuals with a History of Cancer: Myth or Reality?, was published in Volume Sixteen of the Fall 1998 edition of the Hofstra Labor & Employment Law Journal.  Since joining the Firm, Ms. Gibson has primarily concentrated her practice in the areas of special education, labor, sexual harassment and general education issues.  She has handled school litigation matters such as appeals to the Commissioner of Education and special education impartial hearings under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act and Education Law and has supported litigation efforts in employee disciplinary proceedings pursuant to the Education Law and Civil Service Law. 

Ms. Gibson is admitted to the practice of law in the United States District Court, Eastern and Southern Districts of New York, and in the courts of the State of New York.

Ms. Gibson is a member of the New York State Bar Association and the Suffolk County Bar Association.   

Ms. Gibson is a frequent speaker on special education issues and various education law topics at seminars and workshops on Long Island and Westchester County.
