Ms. Scricca has many years of valuable experience in the field of public sector labor and education law. She held the position of Deputy Director of the Administrative Trial Unit of the New York City Board of Education Office of Legal Services where she acquired expertise in the fields of municipal law, education law, contract law and labor law. In her former position, Ms. Scricca also provided legal advice to the Chancellor, the New York City and Community Boards of Education, and school administrators on a variety of issues involving labor law, personnel, torts, federal programs, and litigation. Ms. Scricca was Attorney Advisor for the United States Department of Transportation and the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development in Boston, Massachusetts where she specialized in administrative law, contract law, and federal litigation.
As a member of this Firm, Ms. Scricca is heavily engaged in collective negotiations for many of our school district clients involving instructional and non-instructional personnel, and involving the Firm's other municipal clients. In addition to labor negotiations, she provides representation before PERB, NLRB, and in labor arbitration proceedings. She handles legal matters involving civil service law for our clients and frequently tries discipline cases involving civil service employees under Civil Service Law Section 75 and instructional personnel under Section 3020-a of the Education Law. She appears regularly before the State Division of Human Rights, EEOC, and federal court in discrimination matters.
Ms. Scricca has lectured extensively on the topic of sexual harassment, its prevention and litigation.
