Mr. Madsen joined Ingerman Smith, L.L.P. in February 2007. For the previous sixteen years, while with his former firm, Mr. Madsen was lead attorney on all litigation matters from inception through disposition. Mr. Madsen represented and counseled private and public clients in all areas of litigation including commercial and business, construction, torts, school law, criminal, land use, licensing, Article 78 proceedings and family law. Mr. Madsen has appeared and argued before the Appellate Division, First and Second Departments and the Court of Appeals. In the summer of 2006, Mr. Madsen was an adjunct Professor at Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsburg Law Center.
Since joining our firm, Mr. Madsen has been extensively involved in special education, school construction and commercial matters and in litigation before administrative, state and federal tribunals.
Mr. Madsen was admitted to practice law in the New York State courts in 1988 and in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York in 1991 and the Southern District of New York in 1993. Mr. Madsen is a member of the Nassau County Bar Association and the Suffolk County Bar Association.
