Mr. McAlvin graduated cum laude from the State University of New York at Stony Brook, where he was a member of Phi Beta Kappa and the Political Science Honor Society, Pi Sigma Alpha. Mr. McAlvin served on the Board of the Moot Court Honor Society while attending St. John's University School of Law. Upon graduation from law school, Mr. McAlvin spent two years as a litigation associate with a labor and employment law firm, where he concentrated in labor and employment litigation. Mr. McAlvin then joined the Suffolk County District Attorney's Office where he was assigned to the Economic Crimes Bureau (formerly known as the White Collar Crimes Bureau). He returned to private practice after his tenure with the District Attorney's Office where he concentrated in complex commercial litigation matters. Since joining the Firm, Mr. McAlvin has primarily concentrated his practice in the areas of construction, commercial law and general education law issues.
